A Place to Be

The writing of this inspirational photobook became the healing process for me to get over the  loss of my career, as an engineer, due to the economic recession of 2008 through 2012. Here is an excerpt from the book:

"The recession of 2008 through 2012 has been a humbling experience for sure. I never imagined that as an engineer, I would not be able to find work. I want to stand on my own two feet and earn an honest living. Thousands of people are in my situation or worse. God help us all.

I was under the plow. Plow harrows turn up the soil, deeply and mercilessly, preparing the soil to receive new seeds. I'm hard headed, and I did not want my world to change when the economy crashed. But all of my pain, despair, and whining didn't stop until the seeds of change were planted.

This creative process has changed me from a deep depression and sense of loss to immense gratitude for life and to peace of mind, knowing that I belong on this particular journey. It has brought me closer to my spiritual path, to walk for my life not to a destination. Life is a continuum with different twists and turns, my part is to be forever grateful for this dance."

The book is being updated and will be available in 2016.
